Local Chapters

Membership with the AAPC automatically entitles AAPC members to attendance at local chapter meetings. Coders gather at local chapter meetings to increase their professional knowledge with those who share a common desire to enhance the standards of professional coding. Local chapters allow coders in geographical areas to come together to promote the profession of coding.

AAPC local chapters exist to extend the benefits of AAPC membership to members locally by:

  • Promoting the AAPC by expanding the organization’s visibility and membership.
  • Supporting the national membership by providing educational and networking opportunities on a local level.
  • Providing a forum for the certification examinations to be administered.

AAPC is pleased to announce the new American Academy of Professional Coders Chapter Association’s Board of Directors. This is a voting board consisting of 16 nationwide coders and one AAPC representative. We have structured the best board possible and we look forward to the strength it will bring in directing and meeting the needs of local chapters and the AAPC national office.

Mission Statement
The AAPCCA, the governing board for AAPC Local Chapters, was established to create, maintain and sustain the infrastructure through approachable and accountable representation necessary to empower local chapters to function in support of the AAPC mission of "Upholding a Higher Standard."
